This is an example of GPR Scanning Concrete Blocks. In applications such as prisons, it is very important to ensure that the high PSI concrete does not have any cells with voids. The high PSI concrete is much stronger than the concrete block and can not be chipped away as easily. Another application that is common to have the cells checked for voids is Data Centers or other facilities that use a waterless fire suppression system this can pressurize the room causing blowouts if some of the concrete blocks were not filled correctly. Having GPR scan concrete blocks for quality control can stop other issues that might show up down the line.
