How Does RGPR change the landscape of processing GPR data

  • News

RGPR GPR

RGPR is a free and open-source software for GPR. It takes the data collected from GPR scans and allows it to be analyzed in an R environment such as R-studio. In theory, this should allow data scientists to use GPR data to make predictive models using tools such as spark, opencpu, leaflet, dygraphs, threeJS, and much more.

Why is this a big deal?

GPR takes cross-sections of the X and Y axis and gives you a great idea of the current conditions. With RGPR you can add time, by taking the data from the same lines over long periods of time you can generate models that would give great insight into areas like such as erosion

GPR technicians are not Data Scientists, and Data Scientists are not GPR Technicians. Being able to give Data scientist GPR data to process in the language they are familiar with and has over 2 million current users is a great step in innovation

This could have us better understand our ever-changing world in a very powerful way.

RGPR is hosted on GitHub at https://github.com/emanuelhuber/RGPR.
